Different 45 pressing plants used the same master tape so it exists on several different versions of the record, including some foreign pressings.\n\nVersion 3: Somebody spotted the ‘wow’ and repaired it. They took the similar phrase from the end of the song, copied and edited it into the damaged portion of the master. However, in the original song he sings “…vows WE made..” in the early part, and “…vows YOU made..” (a lyrical mistake) in the later portion. That was the part that was up-spliced to fix the song, changing the lyric so it says “..vows YOU made..” in both spots.
